* Basic Grey & October Afternoon * Reading *

I want to get some new books to read this evening. I finished All Inclusive this morning and I liked it very much, not so much tension, but OK. It's real sad to read how these parents are thorn after the dead of their twin boys. And............... yes the parcel from Creatief Scrapwork arrived with lot's of yummy papers of Basic Grey. It has been a while since I bought anything from them which is quite unusual because in the past I just luved everything they made. However, since some time my scrapping taste has changed and I find myself buying papers of other manufacturers. But immediately as I saw these, I knew I had to have them.
And some papers from October Afternoon - Home town. An older line, but still yummy enough for me: )

I have not seen any sneeks for the CHA yet, so I am wondering if they will introduce any new lines at all?
And some flowers, a girl gotta have lots and lots of flowers right?

* Jaaroverzicht 2009 *

I am way behing with the weekly assigments for the Yearoverview I work on. I have to make 10!! cards still and I must say that the subjects don't always inspire me to create. I think they are real difficult, but I do want to try to make up for it so that I am ready after the holidays.
Here are the first 2:
Week 27 subject Micheal Jackson Week 23 life's small pleasures.
Also I got a mail saying that my order at creatief scrapwork is being send out (finally) today. It took longer due to holidays, but now my basic grey papers are underway as well as an older line from October Afternoon. I can hardly wait :)

* Benji * Shopping & Sale *

Friday I went to my aunt of course with camera because it was so very long ago that I shot some photos of my favorite dog :)
Doesn't he look beautiful and cut?
It is always very difficult to get him decent in shots, always is help needed in a way of distraction. Most of the time when he sees me with the camera he turns his back on me. He is a little camera shy :) Of course I brought him a new bone to chew on so he is one happy dog! Yesterday I went shopping and for the first time I was able to save some money by buying clothes in sale!! This never happens to me normally so I was very happy. It are basics so I can wear them longer than just this summer/autumn
First some t shirst from Esprit with 30% discount on normal price- some beautiful purple/fuchsia and 2 whites. Then I found some basic tops with special price if you buy 2. Well, you can never make a mistake in buying white tops, total saved 3 euro's.
Then I bought a blue stripe blouse and beige spencer @ The Sting with sale prices. (The white shirst from Esprit look very good under the beige spencer btw)
Unfortunately the blue blouse is already washed and hanging to dry so I can wear it tomorrow so I have no photo. Will make up for this later.
Besides sale items I bought a grey spencer and a grey sleeveless vest with pink wybers with 2 pink blouses (very good to combine with all my grey vests, spencers and sweaters) and I bought 2 white blouses since the ones I have now and worn for years are too big. Besides these are much more beautiful. I also got me earlier this week a grey vest @ H&M. Will show photo later.
All in all quite some money spend, but I can combine everything together and add to items I already have, so money well spend.
Now let autumn begin :)

* Card Patterns # 24 * PC problems *

Yesterday afternoon I worked on the new sketch over at Card Patterns. It was a simple sketch but I liked it a lot and the card fell together almost instantly. Its my second magnolia card and it begins to look like I am on a roll. I hardly ever make cards with stamps because I cannot always find colors to match with my papers. This time I mixed colors to get the pink and green and even though it it's really as in the patterned paper, I think it's ok. :) Supplies: white cardstock, Basic Grey Sulty patterned paper, other: Martha Stewart doily lace border punch, crafts too corner punch, pins, pink ribbon, Magnolia stamp, Bruynzeel pencils, buttons, American Craft thickers.

I already tried to upload yesterday evening, but I was having PC trouble. Uploading the photo from camera on to the PC and resize it for webuse, took me half an hours time! My PC is getting slow and I do not know where it's coming from. My hard disk has enough space so that is not it. I just now deleted some programs that I hardly ever use, hope that helps. Other suggestions are more than welcome.

* new lines My Minds Eye *

The new lines of My Minds Eye are simply amazing again. This is definitively one of my fav brands ever. I specially like the bold and colorful lines

Ooh La La for Girls : Colorful Christmas :
Abbey Road- Whirlybird
I am wondering what October Afternoon will come up with, I love there lines. I only have one more layout to make with Duck in a Row and then I can use the left overs for scrapcards.
With all new new lines coming up, I guess that means saving up my money and using up my stash to make room for these lines....
Which means I have to scrap more... :)

* new scraplines * BG lemonade *

This is what happens when I spend too much time surfing on the 'net. I fell in luv with BG's lemonade as soon as I saw the sneak peaks and the layouts by Kelly Goree. Today I saw that the papers are available @ Creatief Scrapwork, so I had to order it together with an older line of October Afternoon Hometown and some flowers.
Below an impression of the papers I ordered. I didn't order a complete line like I did in the past, only the for me suitable papers for scrap and cardmaking. Isn't it yummy? Also on all suppliers sites you can see the new lines which will be presented at th CHA winter 2009.
I so luuuuvvv 3 bugs in a rug -

More loveliness in the next post.

* CPS #123 *

I started a new card yesterday evening, but only now I was able to finish it. I hope I am still on time to enter over @ CPS. The card is based on their sketch nr. 123.
I hardly work with cute stamps (though I have 3 Magnolia's) I always find it hard to find matching pencilcolors to use with my papers or my coloring is real bad. However this time I think it is rather ok! Supplies: White & Green cardstock, Little Yellow Bicycle Zinnia papers; other: round corner punch, Martha Stewart punch, McGill flower punch, EK Success Punch flowers, pins, organza ribbon, Magnolia stamp, Brynzeel pencils.

* Braces * Deventer op stelten *

Thursday I went to the dentist for the first part of my new life without braces.
He put threads behind my biting teeth - top and bottom teeth.
The next day I had to go to the dentist again and I got my braces removed (hurted a little) and he sanded and polished my teeth. Afterwards I had to bit in some material from which he would make me a night brace. My teeth are now straigt and very large looking. So smooth and white, the first feeling is that they are not mine. It's now 3 days later and it feels ok now, but I had to get used to it first
Today, nobody noticed at work. Or at least it took some time for my direct colleague to notice :)This afternoon I collected the night brace I collected this afternoon. It's a clear plastic thingy which i have to wear for YEARS each night. O well.... I have to do something to have a nice smile. All in all I am very happy with the result.Saturday I went to the streettheater in Deventer. It was far too hot and damp for me to go. So during the last part in the hot train I got a headache. After arriving in Deventer I sat down at the Hema and drank something cool and had something to eat, I was doing better.
We thought we'd easily find the shows, when walking in the city centre, which wasn't the case. So we shopped a little. I bought a new blouse and 2 tops @ WE and a new pullover @ H&M. After that we found Chabatz d'Entrar and it was a really good show. I sat in the shadow and there was wind and yet still at the end of the show all of a sudden I was sooooo ill with headache, almost migraine like. It was probably due to the hard strange noises at the near end that did it.
On the way home I was feeling terribly bad and now I know for sure, travelling and seeing things in hot summer is nothing for me. I really must not do it again. No matter how much I want to go or see something.
Deventer was very nice though and I will go back for a visit in Autumn :)
