Since mothersday is just around the corner, today there is again a freebie for mothersday. I already finished my card, but have not used my own wordart for it, so maybe I will try my hand at another one. (Specially since yesterday some new grat papers arrived! :) )
Hope you enjoy the freebie and please leave a comment when you download, thank you.
As I said yesterday some new papers arrived. Going green from Basic Grey, Jazmyne from Bo Bunny & from October afternoon The trift shop & Fly a kit. Since I haven't made a layout in ages, I bought smaller paper pads except for Bo Bunny sicne there isn't any. Wish they did, because I love most of there papers. And some lovely flowers.

* Gift Envelope *
I wanted to take the Get Sketchy Challenge again this week, since it has been quite a while since I last used one of there sketches. However, again I found it a tough sketch. But while reading one of the older issues of Cards Only I noticed a money envelope and I used this idea to combine with the sketch of Get Sketchy. Luckily I have some extra spare time, because normally I wouldn't take the time to make such a project. But I enjoyed it :) and like the outcome. In fact I like it so much, it will be tough to give it away.
I used a digi stamp again, this time from Sassy Cheryl's and combined them with with the great Paper Mania papers again. I dusted off my flower punches to combine them to make a handmade large flowerset. Too bad, you can hardly see the layer of doily lace I added.
I am still doubting if I should add something to the back of the envelope or if I should leave it as it is.... Supplies: white envelope as base, green, pink and aqua cardstock, Paper Mania papers, doily lace paper, Sassy Cheryls digistamp, scalloped scissors, roses, organza ribbon, white puffy paint, some bling bling.

I am entering the following challenges with this project:
Get Sketchy: challenge 34
Pollycraft: challenge 41 handmade flowers
One stitch at a time : Challenge 10 flowers
Stamp scrap & doodle saturdays: challenge 37 girlee
Die cut dreams: Challenge 45 make your own flowers
Pile it on: challenge 16 make it sweet
Crafty angels online: Challenge 32 Summer
I also did a new update on the look of my blog. I used Raspberry Road Designs April Showers kit and I totally love the colors. I think I will leave it like this for a while. I still need to figure out how to add a graphic instead of text for titles in my sidebars & then the look is complete :)

* Some new cards *
Today I made 2 new cards. The first one is based on the latest CPS sketch, which I turned around to make my card. Plus, it is also for the new challenge blog from Tiddly Inks. I enjoyed going through my stash for this one and grab some old papers I haven't used in quite a while, I teamed them up with a freebie from Tiddly Inks. Isn't she a cutie? She is colored with Derwent coloursoft. I also used some new lime bling from Zva Creative and some bling from a local store & a home made pin. Supplies: white, green and pink cardstock, K&company Berry Sweet papers, Prima Marketing flowers, pin, green & pink ribbon, digi image from Tiddly Inks, Coloursoft Pencils.
Other Challenges:
Spoon full of sugar: Happy Birthday
S2G Challenges: flowers
The second card is based on the latest sketch of Card Patterns. The sketch was very basic, which I like best, since I can fancy the card up as I like. And this one is also for the Karens Doodles Dutch Challenge blog. Since I have no other digi's but only the girl with flowers which was once a freebie, I have used it again. It's a lovely digi and very suitable for all kinds of occassions. I made a Get Well Soon card. Again coloured with Derwent Coloursoft. It is not visable on the photo, but I used stickles on the flower for some bling and my spica pen on the stamp.

* Living Statues *
Last Sunday the Living Statues were again held in Borne, so I went to see them again, just like I did last year. Again it was beautiful weather (already quite hot for me) Anywayz.... it was beautiful again. There were approx 50 statues. It is of course not so big as it is in Arnhem. Which is stunningly beautiful all those people as statues, one is even better than they other, but they are all good.
This time there were also some kid who entered. They were very cute, and quite impressive how good they already were for there age (one was 9 years old! Can you believe it?)
Below a small impression of the day.

* Anniversary card *
This card is based on a sketch of CPS and on the Bee Crafty challenge nr. 28 Wedding Anniversary. I made this card for my colleague who is celebrating her 2 year anniversary shortly. Again I used Papermania papers since they fit perfectly the romantic theme. This time I used a digistamp of Karens Doodles, it's a lovely digi and fitting for celebration themes of all sorts, so I think I will use this one often. The stamp is colored with Derwent coloursoft pencils. Supplies: pink cardstock, Papermania papers, ribbon, Prima Marketing flowers, Kaisercraft flower, Zva Creative pearl swirl, Martha Stewart border punch doily lace, scalloped scissors, white puffy paint.

* Another one with a digi stamp *
I am totally in to coloring digistamps at the moment. They are so easy to use and the "stamping" never goes wrong - like happens a lot to me with normal stamps - plus you can make it in every size you need.
Today I used a digi from Pollycraft to create a Happy B-Day card. (sorry for the bad photo, but it's too dark to do without flash now) The card it based on different challenges, first the pollycraft challenge in use of colors. I have picked green as extra color besides pink and brown. (love the color combo, I used some older Basic Grey Sultry papers to fit the colors. Plus I used puffy paint, which was one of my favorites to use a while back, but I realized I haven't used it a lot lately)

It was time to play with a sketch of Dutch Card Lovers again. I love the sketch of this week - can you believe it's already week 40?
This is how my card turned out. I planned to add a text for mothersday to it, but there was no room anymore, so I will put it inside later by hand. It a bouquet of flowers for my mom for Mothersday. I love the cute bear stamp of Meljen and it fitted my occassion perfectly. I colored them with Derwent pencils.
Again I used the beautiful papers of Papermania :) Supplies: white & pink cardstock, Papermania papers, Prima Marketing E-line flowers, American Crafts brads, Zva Creative crystal swirl, jewels, digistamp Meljen Designs.

* Hoera! * Love You Mom *
This card is made for a birthday of a little girl today. I posted it so she would get it yesterday, so it's save to post now :)
I used some Basic grey papers Lemonade and some new Prima flowers and a digi stamp of Bugaboo. I really like how cheerful it is. Also this week has been too busy for me to get the freebie posted on friday, but as they say, better late than never. Here it is, my 2nd attempt at a round digi stamp. Since Mothersday is approxing next month, better get the cards ready. Hope you like it. Please leave a comment when you download.

Also I am looking for more quote, oneliners, texts you would love to see at a stamp, just leave me your ideas in the comments.
Today, I was planning to do a lot, but since I slept in quite late (very unusual for me), the day is already have gone before I get started. There are so much flowers getting into blooms, that I was planning to do some photographing. Cleaning was already on the list as is ironing and I would like to do some cardmaking and or scrapping. Again there is much too much on my to do list.
Also I finished the lastest book of Suzanne Vermeer Apres Ski and just started in the latest novel of James Patterson - The postcard Killers.
Ah well, let's try to squeeze it all in somehow....
