* snow... snow... snow... *

When I woke this morning there was again, a whole lot of snow. It's even on the trees again like in the beginning of January. So even though, I am kind of tired of it now, I still like the view when I don't have to leave home :)
So I will go out and see if I can get some shots again today.

* Thanks * Happy Holidays *

Even though it was very busy at work and I was home late, I found some time to make a few cards. Which is quite relaxing after the stress of the day :).

First a card based on DCL sketch 30. I mirrored the sketch. I still love the Alyssia papers and for the new collection I love Sophie & Jazmyne :) supplies: white cardstock, Bo Bunny Alyssia papers, corner punch, Martha Stewart doily lace punch, Zva Creative swirl, jewels, pin, organza ribbon, Imaginisce stamp, kaisercraft flowers, Melissa Frances rubon.

Next is a Christmas card. This one is based on sketch 22 from Get Sketchy. I turned there sketch around to fit my card.
I decided to start making the occassional X mas card, to make sure I am ready on time this year. I love this Grandma's Kitchen soup collection and did you already see the new Egg Drop Soup papers? Delicious and fun for easter. Supplies: white, green, red cardstock, Jillibean Soup papers Grandma's Kitchen soup, ribbon, puffy paint, Studio G text stamp.

This week it was very very cold due to the strong east wind. Freezing! Tomorrow and some days there after the weather forecast says it will be snowing again! I have enough of this kind of weather I must admit. It may be over and please let spring start blooming....

It's almost weekend and I am so looking forward to it, plan to do some digi scrapping, got some things to prep for work and go out to photograph. I am thinking about a new DSL and think nikon D90, so if any one has this camera, just let me know how you like it.

* Happy Birthday * XOXOXO *

The new sketch from Dutch Card Lovers was a real challenge for me, until I went through my stash of papers and found some papers I haven't used in ages and was already bought a while ago.
I needed to make a male birthday card and these are always difficult for me. But this paper is cheerful and fun and yet very fitting for a male birthday card.
Again I used a stamp I never used before so I am really on a roll with using old materials and new materials not used yet.

Supplies: white cardstock, Daisy D's patterend paper, Papermania stamp, Inkadinkado stamp, Prima Flower, jewel, puffy paint, rope.

This one I finished some time ago but didn't post before. Since Valentine is around the corner, it is fun to make some cards. Based on CPS #149 sketch.

Supplies: white cardstock, Bo Bunny Love Bandit papers, On the dot paper, Studio G stamp, ribbon, white puffy paint, Kaisercraft rhinostones.

* Happy Holidays *

Here is another card I forgot to upload yesterday. Based on the previous sketch of Card Patterns. (I was too late in posting anyway) I have still so many scraps and Christmas papers lying around I decided to make a card for Christmas this year already. I sooo love this Jillibean soup series. Did you see the new releases on their blog already? I fell in love with Egg drop soup.
I have decided for this year I am not going to buy new papers, but at the same time I still sneak around to see what yummy materials are coming up this CHA. I hope I can control myself :) I have so much lying around waiting to be used, that I don't have room for more stuff...Supplies: kraft & red cardstock, Jillibean soup papers, Studio G text stamp, prima flower, jewel, rope, digi stamp.

* Some new projects *

I got some October Afternoon papers as a gift and I couldn't wait to use them. They are not only lovely to use for Christmas cards but also for Winter cards. I couldn't find any matching ribbons so I opted to use some rope. Plus there has been lying a stamp for really long time, waiting to be used and it really fits with this paper.
(Edit: in my hurry I forgot to mention this card is based on another great Get Sketchy sketch... oops...) Supplies: white and pink cardstock, October Afternoon Very Merry papers, Fiskars borderpunch, Marianne Design stamp, Melissa Frances rubon, rope
The next is a small project I finished not so long ago, but didn't have the chance to put on my blog yet. I made it as a small packaging to be filled with chocolates or other candy to give on a birthday. I used some oldie papers from We R Memory Keepers, which has been lying around also for way to long plus it gave me the opportunity to use Zva Creative swirls for the first time on a project. I recently got some, but haven't got the chance to use yet. But I love the touch of elegance it gives to the box. (click on the photo to enlarge)
Supplies: white and purple cardstock, We R Memory Keepers papers Tiffany, Zva Creative pearl swirl, ribbon, Melissa Frances stamp, Kaisercraft flowers, jewel, pin, puffy paint, scalloped scissors.

* It's Freebie Friday *

Since we are having such cold and snowy weather (or at least we did at the time I made it), I decided to make a digi that would fit the season.
Don't look at how the picture looks here, it real it is straight and in proportion. Have fun scrapping and please leave me a comment (or show the card you created with the stamp, would love to see that.)

* SNOW...*

As promised yesterday, I would show the photo's I took.
I think it was appr. 10 cm high! It was a beautiful sight and I walked for about 2.5 hours. At the beginning the light was the most beautiful, later the sun didn't shine and the pictures are darker.

* Let it Snow *

I took some landscape photo's of the woods covered in snow today. I haven't had the change yet to resize them and put them on the blog because I wanted and needed some time to make a card based on the new sketch over at Get Sketchy. '
It didn't turn out as I had it planned in my head, and it is a rather basic card. I was inspired by the current weather to create a snowcard. The stamp I used was created by myself, check back next friday if you want it for free. Supplies: White and blue cardstock, Eskimo Kisses paper, Bo Bunny on the dot, ribbon, pins, digistamp, hotfix with hotfix stones, snowflake punch.

Of course I will put up the snowphoto's later.

* new reading stuff & more snow *

Yesterday while doing grocery shopping I discovered the new CO in the magazine standard in the store. I expected only next week the new issue but was happy to buy it. Again the issue is jampacked with beautiful creations and it gets me inspired right away. It saddened me to read that there also a lot of very negative comments on the issue, if you don't like it, just don't buy it. I love the magazine, more so than I do the SBM, I see such fun I ideas to use on cards and layouts.Yesterday evening it started snowing and by the looks of it this morning it did go on for quite a while. It was also freezing very much, appr. -11.4 degrees!
All the 2 past times we had snow in december is nothing compared to this heap. I think it's about 5 to 7 cm. It's a beautiful sight and I will go outside to enjoy it for sure. But since I have to go to my work by bike tomorrow I am not so happy with it. And the weatherforecast says it we will probably have more snow on coming Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday!
Enjoy your sunday!
