* 1 new card *

I don't have much inspiration lately and it's only on few occassion that I make a card. It's a shame and somehow I miss it, but on the other hand, I like the rest and freedom it gives me. I enjoy reading much more - finished 7 books this month! I cannot remember the last time I did that, it must have been in high school! I listen to music and watch TV. Seems I need to take it slower, just enjoying the here and the now. Not feeling the pressure of "needing to make a new challenge card".
Last weekend I started this card for Get Sketchy and didn't come around to finishing it up, until now. Of course too late for the challenge, but who cares :) ? Again I tried to make a vintage card and even though the stamp isn't really vintage, I think it gives that feeling. I used colored pencils to color the Tiddly Ink image and tried to make the white lace more fitting, by inking it up with distress ink. I distressed all edges. Supplies: White cardstock, October Afternoon- The Thrift Shop papers, Fiskars Borderpunch, Crafts too cornerpunch, lace, Zva Creative swirls, Prima Marketing flowers, Tiddly Inks digistamp, distress ink Tim Holtz, colored pencils Derwent.

Last week I started on a card for GS #37 but had no time to finish it up, but last weekend I had some spare time and finished it. Used again the great Bo Bunny papers. Supplies: Bo Bunny papers, on the dot papers, Meljen digistamp, American crafts flowers, roses, Fiskars border punch, organza ribbon, rope.

And I finished the new sketch from Get Sketchy as well. I will send it this week to a friend who is celebrating her birthday. And the last card is for DCL. I made a card for a colleagues wedding day, coming up in July. I have several more to make and I think the romantic papers of Paper mania are just great for it.
Supplies: pink cardstock, PaperMania papers, Kaiser craft flowers, Prima marketing flowers, roses, pearl string, doily paper, Martha Stewart Borderpunch doily lace, pink and green ribbon.

The weather is finally starting to be more sunny and a little warmer.

* long blogpost *

I used my new October Afternoon The Thrift Shop papers to create a "vintage" card. It's my first attempt at creating a vintage card. I am not so happy with the end result, since its not really vintage to me. So I guess I have to keep trying to make it better. Supplies: white cardstock, October Afternoon The Thrift Shop papers, Prima Marketing flowers, Paper Mania pearl brads, Zva Creative bling bling swirl, ribbon, lace, digi stamp from Scrapaddictive, digistamp from Digital 2 4 Tuesday.

And here is my card for this weeks sketch from Card Patterns & the challenge from Dutch Card Lovers. A recipe this time, a round card, stitching & flowers.
And it was a hard challenge for me this round. Creating a round card. I search the whole house for suitable moulds to trace circles to use for my card..... Stitching was also a struggle, I don't have a sewing machine and by hand it was really bad... so I redid and make faux stitches by punching holes and tracing a black line. Of course it isn't the real thing, so I wonder if it's sufficient for the challenge.. I added the text in the heart of the digistamp.
On the photo it isn't visable, it's way too dark, but I used purple & pink on the dot papers of Bo Bunny, but on the photo, the purple almost looks black.

The card is also for the following challenges:

Meljens: challenge 5 shapes

Sentimental sundays: challenge 2 for someone special

Cupcake craft challenges: challenge 88 don't be square

Creative Cottage Challenge: Challenge 8 Circles

Allsorts Challenges: Challenge 50 animals

Craft Challenge: Challenge 48 Shaped card

Tiddly Inks: Challenge 2 Mothersday

Fun with Shapes: Mothersday

Lilly Boo Too: May challenge Shapes

Quixotic Paperie: Challenge 23 Distressing

Supplies: white cardstock, purple & pink on the dot cardstock Bo Bunny, Bo Bunny Jazmyne papers, Zva Creative bling bling swirl, scalloped scissors, Martha Stewart doily lace punch, McGill punch, EK succes punch, jewel flower, digi stamp Cuddly Buddly
