Jaaroverzicht 09 cards for week 7 & 8

I am running behind in the cards for Jaaroverzicht on a forum I go to.
This is weeks assignment, theme THIS WEEKEND. Now it is Carnaval over here, but I am not into that, so I scrapped about my super filled busy weekend. Thankfully I have some photo's to go with it (don't you love digital :) otherwise I could never participate in thing like this.
I am not super happy with how it turned out, but I don't feel like retrying. I am up to date again and want to stay that way. This is last weeks assignment, theme; WHAT'S ON THE MENU. Speaks for it self. Instead of scrapping what I eat, I chose to use a them of foods which I have to stay a way from. No more sweets and cakes and candy in order to get those pounds down!
Because I am over 30 now, I notice it's getting harder to loose the extra pounds.
I love the bright fun colors of this one :) Which the theme was more enjoyable too.... Ah well....

back @ Work * shopping

It was a long week back @ work again & very busy. Thankfully it was the friday which I only have to work half day :) I went to town to do a little shopping and go to the library to get new reading books. There were no new books which I had not read from my favorite writeers, so I took back home books for new writers; Peter Tremayne; Paul Eddy and Saskia Nort. The last book is titled Terug Naar De Kust and is currently being filmed with Linda de Mol, so when I saw this book I decided to take it, I am very curious to read it.
After that I giftwrapped the items I bought to take to my aunt who has been celebrating her birthday when I was ill. She was very happy with the small attentions (we don't do big and expensive gifts) and of course I had to make a gift tag along with it. Normally I would post it, but I want to try to send it out to a magazine call.

Yesterday was xtremely busy. My bike had a flat tire on Thursday and had to go to the repair main and it seemed I needed new tires inside and outside. So I had to get by bike back this morning and paid 35 euros for the repair. Then I went to Hengelo. I had ordered online some spring clothes @ H&M and some was not ok. And you can either send it back by post and pay each time 1 euro extra or return to the shop and get a ticket with the money to spend later in the shop and of course I saw some nice new blouses for summer in the shop and bought 6 pieces ;D) I still have to try them on and see if I keep them all. But @ H&M it works like this; if you see something you like you have to buy it, when you return to the shop a week (sometimes even sooner) it is gone.

Went home and had a quick lunch and then went to Borne.
My bike is almost 7 to 8 years old and getting bad. For some months I was thinking about getting a new one. and this afternoon I went to the bikeshop in Borne to check out new bikes. And found one :) Of course is a Gazelle, this brand I have my whole life and never change a winning formul. It was troubling at first to get the stear on good level so my arms can rest and don't have too much tension & strain on them because then it hurts due to my RSI. But at the end it worked out ok. The bike has been ordered and it takes up to 8!!! weeks before it arrives. Guess patience is a virtue.

I also bought some scissors @ Action to cut out shaped edges and already one fell down and is broken :( And another set of 3 ribbons. All bling bling flowers were already sold out, really too bad because I wanted to buy some more. I already worked a lot with the flowers on cards and they are amazing. Fortunately I already have 2 packs.
Later in the evening I put up the new lamp I bought last week @ Ikea. Doesn't it look great?

Today I have a lot standing on my To Do - List;
Blog updating :)
photography
responde to another card call
make the 2 cards for JO09
laundry & ironing
try on the clothes I bought to see if they fit

The new items after CHA09 winter are coming in and I have to keep myself in not to buy too much.
I want to order some of October Afternoon papers; My Minds Eye Penny Lane & Bloom and Grow; Bo Bunny Alyssia.
It all is so yummy :D

3 post in 1 day!

Wow it's the third time I am updating my blog today!
Here are the photo's I promised of the shopping of yesterday.
Are they not cute? I used 2 flowers already on the card I created today. It's one card only and I am so not happy with it, so I will try if I can come up with something else later today/evening.
I have not done as much as I planned to today, I had no energy to do so. Still not feeling too well, soooo... I take it easy.
At the end of the afternoon it started snowing! I hope it's gone tomorrow when I am back to work.

Of course I made some projects for Valentines Day. It's so fun to make and the colors are so yummy and such a nice gift.

I also made a while a go a birthday card, which I have not shown yet. The card has been send now, so it's ok to put it up.
Supplies: white cardstock; Daisy Bucket papers; Bazzill Paper light blue, ribbon, pin, stapler with staples, brads, pen.

Furthermore a card which I send to Scrapstreet magazine for the March call which didn't make it. It's based on a sketch posted a while ago over @ Caardvarks.
Supplies: white, pink, green cardstock; Basic Grey Gypsy papers & letter stickers; pin; ribbon; prima flowers; hotfix with crystals.

Photo's of the shopping of yesterday will be put up asap. :)

Feeling better * shopping * a TOOT

Yesss, thankfully I am feeling a bit better than last week. i still have troubles with the nose and ears and headache. I still cannot smell & taste anything. Still not feeling 100% good but believe me it's good to be outside again after so many days being inside in bed.
So I did some shopping :) after such a long time it was badly needed of course. I bought a new jeans (unfortunately a bigger size, since I gained about 3 kilo's since last christmas which I still didn't loose and fear I never will - sigh -
And I bought some scrapbookstuff @ the action: bling bling flowers (2 packs for only 70 ct each!) and some beads to make for bracelet but of course they are verrrry nice on cards and layouts (appr. 6 beads for only 70 cts) Photo's will follow shortly.
Ikea's I also am unable to leave empty handed... This time I bought a new standing lamp for in the living and 3 small vases for decoration. As soon as the lamp is up and the vases are placed, I will show some photo's.

On to the big news; I am published in the great online magazine Scrapstreet - February issue; go check it out here.
Unfortunately the photo isn't great. I now photograph differently so it's better than in the beginning, but it's still not to my satisfaction, guess practise makes perfect right :) ?
And ..... another card I had send for the March issue is selected for publication. I am so happy!
I had no time this month to make some cards for the April call, but will try to make some today.

not feeling too well

What I was afraid of has happened. I am ill with the flu. I saw it coming last sunday when my head was aching. Monday I wasn't feeling too well, Tuesday had me sneezing all day long, Wednesday I couldn't breath because my nose was stuffed and in the afternoon I had a minor headache coming up. And I hadn't been sleeping well at night, sore throat, running nose, coughing etc.
Thursday-moring I thought (or hoped is a wbetter way to put it) that I was over the mountain and that the worst was over. Than came the terrible headache again and I was officially ill....
So I am off to bed again now, with my handerchiefs and strepsils and fishermans friends and lots of glasses of water. Hoping that it soon will be over...

Home is where the dog is

I have been busy cleaning my room and sorting through papers, so still no time to make the birthday card I need to make (to be send early next week), but I managed to make a layout yesterday-evening. Took me about 2 and half hours time (not a quick scrapper I know :) ) But I like the outcome, even when is more basic than I normally scrap.
Supplies: Kraft cardstock, sassafras lass papers, doillies paper, puffy paint, clearstamps letters, American Craft thickers, prima flowers, ribbon, bazzill basic brown and pink, rhinestone flowers, stapler with staples, paperclip and safety pin.

I am not feeling to well today, headache and stuff, so still keeping my fingers crossed not to get ill and taking it more easy.
